We watched our first ever "CONDENSED" football game last night on our NFL Pre-Season Live station. In case you don't know, the NFL has a site where all the games are recorded and archived. You have the option of watching the game in it's entirety with all the play backs, call reviews and commercials, OR watching the condensed version of the game. We thought we'd be clever and watch the condensed version of the 49er's latest game with the San Diego Chargers, therefore allowing us enough time in the rest of the evening to watch the final episode of Sherlock Holmes second season. NEVER AGAIN!!! It all happened so fast it was very, very unsatisfying - like an orgasm that never quite makes it. Many plays we would have liked to view over and again with all the markers that are added to help you follow the action. We would have liked to see the coaches responses, the WTF faces and the reactions of the team members on the sideline. In football, what's going on on the sideline may not be The Rest of the Story, but it's sure a good and pleasant part of it, like a scoop of ice cream with a piece of pie. Soooo, we have made a solemn pledge, that each and every game we watch this season will be in it's entirety and full play back glory!!
