About Easter - ten years ago you couldn't have convinced me doing "Easter" (or any other major holiday for that matter) could get old. But tonight, this night - the night before Easter 2013, is the first time in 30 years I am not coloring eggs or hiding candy. And ya know, I'm really alright with that. Of course we still have to have Easter baskets, no missing out on that Pip insisted, and we may even color eggs tomorrow. I'm ok with this too. At least for now. We've had a really hard last couple of months and quite frankly I'm exhausted. (spent 8 and a half hours at Urgent Care Five nights ago, that was exciting - daughters say I have to write about it, daughters say doing stupid things is funny - especially when it's someone else doing this stupid thing - in this case myself. If I do write about it, it won't be in a blog post, it will be a story and not until I can laugh about it myself.) I hope that's all it is. I hope I'm not turning into an Old Prude. Come to think of it, I didn't want to "do" Christmas last year either. I would have happily gone on vacation somewhere - Hawaii sounded nice back then. We'll be doing laundry tomorrow too, and lots of it. Starting Thursday I'll be gone for a week. I get to go visiting, get to play with one of my grand daughters for a week - YEAHHH!!!! So tomorrow will most likely be about making banana cream pie, watching Game of Thrones, doing laundry and doing all the pre-packing I can. Will be working Monday through Wednesday, tomorrow is my last free day. We were going to go back to the ocean but weatherman has promised us rain and cold for tomorrow - SPOIL SPORT! So Happy Easter to all, no matter what you're doing!!
p.s. - still missing my Ginger soooo soooo soooo much.
