I think Mom needs to do some explaining. A few days ago, she said they were going to get Ginger and bring her home. Mom and Pip came back an hour later with a small box. Mom said Ginger's body was in it. Well, I may be a Toad, but I'm not stupid! Ginger was BIG - there's no way Ginger's body could be in that little box. And what's with Ginger's spirit bouncing around here, none of this makes sense to me! Ginger said Mom had her body burned so it would fit in that tiny box. WHAT!!! I don't get it! How could Mom do something like that? And then Mom, now she talks to the box, every night and every morning, "Good night Ginger, Good morning Ginger". Wow. I tell ya, just when you think some things are starting to make sense my Humans go loony and throw something else at me! I don't know what to think.
I am glad to have Ginger back though - even if part of her is in a box. It's different than before. This may sound strange coming from a Toad, but I liked her. She explained things to me when Mom and Piper didn't think to. She was good company when Mom and Pip were gone. And really, I liked that she let me climb on her while she laid on Moms bed. She was soft and furry, it was kinda cool. She was really big and had sharp teeth and nails, she could have hurt me but she never did. I miss the all of her that she used to be but I guess having her this way is better than not having her at all. And now that she's home Mom is sleeping better and she doesn't cry as often. Neither does Pip.
